Breast cancer surgery
Diagnosis, lumpectomy, mastectomy, lymph node surgery, tailored to your diagnosis and goals.
Breast reconstuction
Implant-based (including pre-pectoral), LD flap, DIEP (with colleagues), and staged fat transfer techniques.
Complex revision surgery
Managing capsular contracture, implant removal/replacement, correction of asymmetry and symmetrisation after cancer treatment.
Aesthetic breast surgery
Breast reduction, augmentation, mastopexy (lift), fat grafting, gynaecomastia and combined procedures for proportion and comfort.
Breast Cancer Surgery
Prof. Harvey offers the full range of cancer surgery including lumpectomy surgery, sentinel node biopsy, therapeutic mammoplasty (breast reduction surgery whilst taking the cancer out at the same time), local perforator flaps and mastectomy with or without reconstruction.

Breast Cosmetic Surgery
Prof. Harvey is certified by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Oversight Committee to perform cosmetic surgery. This certification process ensures that your surgeon is well trained, experienced, safe and high quality. In the NHS and privately he performs breast reduction and breast augmentation surgery, with implants or with fat from elsewhere on the body (lipoaugmentation). He specialises in the correction of congenital asymmetry and gynaecomastia surgery, and in the correction/revision of previous cosmetic surgery.

Breast Reconstruction
Prof. Harvey lectures Nationally and Internationally on techniques in breast surgery and reconstruction. He performs prepectoral and subpectoral breast reconstruction with implants, nipple sparing mastectomy, dermal sling reconstruction and risk reducing mastectomy. Revision of Breast Reconstruction
Prof. Harvey runs a tertiary referral clinic where he sees patients for complex revisional surgery of their reconstructions. Prof. Harvey can offer an expert opinion on any problems with your current reconstruction along with possible solutions. Many of our private patients have had surgery elsewhere and are not happy with the outcome, or have been told there is no further room for improvement. We would welcome you to come and have a full discussion about the potential treatments available and what the likely result would be.
Risk Management
For patients deemed at higher risk of breast cancer, Prof. Harvey offers risk management consultations to discuss your personal risk. We can offer genetic screening for breast cancer for the 12 most common genes that increase your risk of breast cancer, with results within three weeks.
Personalised breast cancer risk assessment – For any woman who is worried about their personal risk of breast cancer we can assess your individual risk which takes into account your family history, lifestyle, medical history and your genetic make-up. We offer SNP testing which is the most accurate current method of assessing your genetic risk of breast cancer. Using your individual risk, we can then make recommendations on how to best manage the risk. Please ring Millie to discuss.
