I am a BRCA2 gene carrier and as such have undergone a double bilateral mastectomy followed by implant reconstruction with Prof. Harvey and his team. I am 10 weeks post surgery and recovery has been exceptional.

After a ‘rocky cancer journey’ I met with Prof. Harvey and he said to sit down, start from the beginning and explain what I’d experienced so far. He was so kind and carefully explained my options. Other family members are now under his care, I would highly recommend.

In my 4 year cancer experience I’ve met some rude and disrespectful clinicians. Thank god Prof. Harvey is NOT one of them. If you need breast treatment he’s the man to go to. I wanted a second mastectomy for symmetry and it wasn’t an easy job getting my insurance company to agree to it, Prof. Harvey was very supportive throughout and once it was agreed I was able to have the surgery very quickly. He did a great job, my scar is very neat and super quick to heal. I felt I could ask him all of my (sometimes stupid) questions and I got an honest answer. I could not be more pleased but I’ll stop now as I feel I’m gushing.

After needing a second opinion on a lump I found, I feel very lucky to have been recommend James Harvey. At such a horrible and worrying time, he gave me so much confidence that I knew I was in safe hands. We have met many times since and each time he gives his full attention to me and my husband. Every single (sometimes ridiculous) question I’ve had, he’s answered for me in an honest but caring way. I couldn't have been any happier after my double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
He also does a lot of work for the Prevent Breast Cancer Charity which I think is amazing. I would (and do) highly recommend him.

I was so nervous and scared before attending my appointment with Prof. Harvey, once I met him immediately his calming manner put me at ease straight away. He’s professional, empathetic and extremely knowledgeable. All I can say is Thank you Prof. Harvey you are truly the best.

I have had a breast enhancement today and the way I was treated was amazing! Knowing I had a fear of being put to sleep, I was constantly reassured that everything was ok, before and after surgery the staff have been absolutely amazing especially James Harvey himself. He made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, the best surgeon I've ever had the pleasure of being around.
